Cambridge Journals Complete Digital Archive 2011 provides digitalized back issues of 207 high quality academic journals published by Cambridge University Press. Most journals begin with the first issue, published between 1770 and 1998, however, the accessibility of back issues varies for different journals. Covering a wide range of subject in the areas of humanities, social sciences, and sciences, these contents are a great value to today's scholars and researchers. 76% of these journals are ranked in the 2010 Journal Citation Reports.

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is an online directory that indexes and provides access to over 9000 high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social sciences and humanities. Open Access refers to free and unrestricted access to research information online. The aim of the DOAJ is to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access scientific and scholarly journals, thereby promoting their increased usage and impact.

EThOS is a database maintained by the British Library. Its aim is to provide a single point of access for researchers all over the world to access doctoral research theses awarded by UK Higher Education Institutions. There are approximately 500,000 records relating to theses awarded by over 120 institutions.

Academic OneFile provides millions of articles from over 17,000 scholarly journals and other authoritative sources, including thousands of podcasts and transcripts from news outlets. It includes more than 11,000 peer-reviewed journals (more than 8,000 in full text), and major reference sets including Gale Encyclopaedia of Science and Encyclopaedia of World Biography.

IMF eLIBRARY provides direct access to the IMF's periodicals, books, working papers and studies, and data and statistical tools. Areas covered include macroeconomics, globalization, development, trade and aid, technical assistance, demographics, emerging markets, policy advice, poverty reduction, and much more.

The IEEE Xplore Digital Library is a powerful resource for discovery of scientific and technical content published by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and its publishing partners. Journal Citation Reports provides information about academic journals, including impact factors. It allows users to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from approximately 12,000 scholarly and technical journals and conference proceedings from more than 3,300 publishers in over 80 countries/regions. It is the only source of citation data on journals, and includes virtually all specialties in the areas of science, technology, and social sciences.

JSTOR helps user discovers, uses, and builds upon a wide range of content through a powerful research and teaching platform, and preserves this content for future generations. Blackwell Reference Online contains more than 700 acclaimed reference books published by the renowned Wiley-Blackwell from the humanities and social sciences through to business and economics.

CADAL (China Academic Digital Associative Library) is a government-sponsored cooperative project of more than 120 academic libraries (2020), about half of which are from China, to create electronic resources for the use of their patrons. The major resource created by CADAL is a collection of 2.67 million scanned books and is constantly increasing.
